All categories are shown in judging order, your model must be present and bring their form to the judging area at the announced time. If they are then given a token, they must proceed to the desk to continue to the next ‘round’. Best of Show (As voted by the public) This category must be pre-registered by taking your form to the welcome desk any time before 5pm on Sunday to collect an entry ticket.

Best Collaboration. Entries to this category MUST be registered by 5pm Saturday 17th August at the Convention. If there are less than 4 entries then this category will NOT be held.

Awards ceremonies will commence at approximately 7:00pm each evening.

Awards will be in the same order apart from Best of Show (as voted by the public) and Best of Show, with Best of Show being awarded to close the convention.

Wildcard entries (if there are any) for Best of Day and Best of Show judging will take place in the ballroom, with second round of judging taking place on the main stage which will then include first place winners of all categories from that day. (Or over the weekend for Best of Show)

RULES OF SUBMISSION:

A) Tattoos done before the Convention can be submitted to ONE category only - ‘BEST HEALED TATTOO’ they cannot be entered into the Best of Day or Best of Show categories.
B) Tattoos done at the Tatcon convention can only be submitted to ONE category this does not include Best of Day or Best of Show.
C) We will only accept entries, for any category, from artists/studios that are attending the convention in a working capacity with their own booth. We will not accept entries of any kind from artists not attending the convention.
D) To enter a category, you must complete a relevant form and model MUST have form with them at judging.
E) It is the artists’ responsibility to ensure work is entered in the correct category; any submissions that do not fall within rules will not be scored by the judging panel. Judges decision on this is final.
F) For all submissions into any category the model must be available for judging at judging time, pictures will not be accepted.
G) Qualifying conditions for Best of Show and Best of Day categories: Must be done at this year’s convention, and model MUST attend judging.
H) All Tattoo categories, with the exception of Best Collaboration, Best Healed and Best Public Vote, may only be entered by a single artist.
I) Please note the organisers rely purely on the honesty and integrity of artists submitting work for judging. So please you ensure you read and understand rules of competition, organisers are happy to clarify any points raised, however judges decision is always final.
J) Wildcard entries: These will be accepted into Best of Day and Best of Show categories on the understanding that they have entered NO other category as artist feels its particular strengths do not fit a category. We do try to cover all styles but obviously as the industry grows and artists experiment with new trends we can’t have a specific category for everything.
K) Best of Show (judged) will be held on main stage and judged between winners of Best of Saturday and Best of Sunday along with any wildcard entries if there are any.
